Ventnor, Isle of Wight
On
the southern tip of the Island and sheltered by cliffs, Ventnor often
benefits from a mild climate. The beach, a mixture of sand and fine
shingle, is well supported by pubs, cafes, amusements and a paddling
pool.
A walk along the prom will lead to Bonchurch, a well preserved Victorian
village. The Botanic Gardens have a modern visitor centre and Ventnor
Park, slightly inland, provides a putting green and more beautiful gardens.
