Penarth, South Glamorgan
Close
to Cardiff with all its transport links, and the Millennium Stadium,
Penarth is a real jewel. The elegance and charm owes a lot to its Victorian
and Edwardian heritage. The gardens and pier are well maintained and
welcoming. Paddle steamers are regular visitors.
There are lovely beaches here and at nearby Barry Island and the coastal
walks take in some remarkable scenery.
