Things to do in and around Teignmouth
Described as the "Best Little Zoo in the West", this is a great place for smaller children who will be facinated by the monkeys, meercats and owls. Set in 1 acre of woodland, the wildlife park has a number of smaller animals not usually found in bigger zoos. Small children will find the meercats, monkeys, owls and other rare animals facinating.
Shaldon Wildlife Trust...>>Teignmouth's Grand Pier is a little under 200m long but manages to pack in the traditional pier experience including amusements, food and drinks kiosks, some small children's rides and a Go-kart track.
Named "Prickly Ball" after the hedgehog hospital at the park, you can get hands-on with most of the animals including feeding chipmunks, lambs & chickens. After lunch at "Hoglet's" why not try your hand at grooming a pony, walking a ferret and even goat racing!
