This free centre has interactive computers, hands on displays, video footage and lots of information on fossils, fossil hunting and the local coastal and marine wildlife. Throughout the year the centre organises guided fossil hunting expeditions, rockpooling walks and marine discovery activities along the local coastline.
The marine aquarium in Lyme Regis is home to a fascinating collection of marine animals which can vary from time to time, especially if the fishermen bring in an interesting catch!
This restored Victorian watermill runs daily, during the summer months and selected school holidays, alongside demonstrations of the milling after which you may be lucky enough to produce some stone ground flour from the mill shop. On the site of the mill there are also some craft workshops and art galleries which will while-a-way more than a few pleasant moments as will the Miller's Garden.
Dinosaurland Fossil Museum is a private museum with more than 8000 specimens to show people just how exciting and wonderful the world of fossils and dinosaurs really is. The Fossil Collection consists of a spectacular collection of the local Jurassic marine fossils ranging from the tiniest microfossil to the largest Ichthyosaur and most things in between.
