Looe, Cornwall
Looe is the quintessential Cornish seaside town and deservedly very popular. The active fishing fleet is the second largest in Cornwall and many a happy hour can be passed watching the catch come ashore. Enjoy a cream tea or two or take sailing trip, there is plenty to see and do.
The beach is behind the town, through the maze of old streets and shops. Good quality sand gives way to rocks with excellent rock pools just waiting to be explored.

Originally set up to provide a stable home in which woolly monkeys, rescued from lives of isolation in zoos or as pets, could live as naturally as possible, the sanctuary has won worldwide recognition for its work. Visitors to the Monkey Sanctuary are now able to gain a fascinating insight into the world of the rare lesser horseshoe bat.
