Colwyn Bay, Clwyd
In a long sweep from Old Colwyn to Penrhyn Bay, this area offers easy access to the beautiful beaches, including a paddling pool for the kids. The bay is a popular area for many watersports enthusiasts.
From the town you can take a stroll along the promenade, stopping off at the pier, one of the many cafes, or visit the sheltered harbour at Rhos-on-Sea.

The Welsh Mountain zoo stands in a 37 acre park in North Wales close to Colwyn Bay. Recent additions include Red Pandas and Sumatran Tigers to add to the already impressive collections of bears, chimpanzees and golden eagles. There's a children's farmyward animal section too as well as playgrounds and eating places to complete your day.
The Harlequin Puppet Theatre is Britain's first and only permanent theatre designed and built specifically for puppets. Family shows are generally at 3pm over the Easter and Summer Seasons and also during school holidays.
